Life Situations

Life Situations

In Matthew 9:11, the religious leaders asked Jesus' disciples why Jesus "hung out" with sinners. Jesus heard it and responded by saying "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick." Mentor Corps is aimed at ministering to those whose life journey has involved incarceration, chemical addiction and/or homelessness.
Surrendered to Christ

Spiritual Birth

The Bible tells us we are all dead to God and must be born spiritually to enter into God's Kingdom (John 3:1-21; Ephesians 2:1). Mentor Corps is aimed at ministering to those who have received God's gift of salvation in Jesus Christ and are trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit (by continually surrendering to Christ – Romans 12:1-2) to renew their life and relationships.
Trained Mentor

Spiritual Guidance

In all humility and fully acknowledging that we are all growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, a Mentor Corp mentor is someone who walks closely with the Lord and has a heart commitment for helping others to do so. Mentor Corps will provide specific training in guiding people through recovery. Believing that you are "not qualified to do this" is, in fact, the first qualification. We are trusting God to do this – using us in His service.
Circle of Success

Circle of Success

The victorious life has many aspects, but the core is our relationship with God. From that center, Mentor Corps believes there are key components (the "Circle of Success") which together contribute to a successful re-entry into society. Mentors Corps makes specific tools and resources available to their trained mentors for meeting these needs.
